Personal History.

Liam was born in the South African Dominion to a Dutch father and an British Mother. His father was a proviencial governor in the Dominion for the United Kingdom government. His family had been part of the aristocracy of the dominion for generations having great wealth. His father was an officer in the Commonwealth navy before the first contact war and instilled military values in Liam from a young age. When the war broke out his older brother had just finished Officer Training school for the Navy and was placed on a ship bound for the war. Liam was a young boy when his brother left. His brother passed away 6 years after he left for the war. Liam promised that he would join the Navy the day he was old enough to avenge his brothers death.

When Liam turned 17 that exactly what he did. He enlisted in the Commonwealth Navy and became an intelligence analyst. After four years of intelligence gathering Liam was selected to become a Navy Commando by his chain of command. He excelled in his training and at his job once placed in the field as a Commando. Covert operations behind enemy lines and long recon ops were Liams specialties. When deployed to
Galakor Liams unit was taked with finding an enemy FOB and taking out a commander. After Liams team was dropped into the AO they were pounced upon by a hostile patrol Liam and another one of the teams other Commandos were the sole survivors. Liam and the other Commando made it to the FOB and took out the hostile commander, moments after the shot was taken a brutal counter attack faced the two commandos. After what seems like hours of fighting Liams team mate sustained heavy injuries and killed. Liam gathered what he could from the commando and made a break to escape the hostiles force bearing down upon him. Liam ran until he could not anymore. He collapsed and when he awoke he was on a Commonwealth Hospital ship. A nurse came in and explained that he was found with wounds on every extremity and a grazing shot to the head. He was debreifed on the hospital ship and was given a Medal of Commonwealth Courage for his actions. Once fully healed he was selected for the new Vanguard Paramilitary unit being created after the war. He was proud to be a part of this elite unit and would do his best to make his brother proud.
