Personal History.

Centurion Roland Harlons Military history begins in 2124 when the he graduated the Commonwealths Officer Academy and earned his commission as a Lieutenant in the Commonwealth Army. His first assignment would be to the 1st Battalion of the 1st Infantry Regiment, riding with the 4th fleet to take part in the invasion of the Galakorian Captial Planet, Galakor. Harlon would fight on Galakor for the better part of two years, serving as a platoon leader and later as an executive officer in his company. Throughout this time, Harlon would get the first taste of war, witnessing some of the worst conditions and fighting of the entire campaign. Despite the hardships he faced, he was deemed by his senior and subordinates to be an exemplary platoon leader.

As the post war occupation of Galakor began, the newly promoted Optio Harlon was going to be assigned to the peacekeeping force on the planets badlands, a territory divided up by several savage warlords. However, before his orders were finalized, he was chosen out of many hundreds of officer candidates to attend Vanguard Training. Harlon eagerly accepted and reported to his new station. Harlon spent 6 years training to become a Vanguard Commander, setting records among the officers training there, displaying an innate ability of 'decisive action' to accomplish his mission in whatever matter necessary. Harlon graduated from the training academy in the year 2132 and was immediately given an assignment to a new specialized company of Vanguards, the 1st Vanguard Independent Reconnaissance Company.
