King Conrad I, King of Sicily offers the aid of the Sicilian 1st Army, lead by Leo Graffeo, in it's upcoming campaign against the Latin Empire.

In a statement to his people on the controversial topic of fighting fellow Christians, the King responded with the following.

"The Crusades are long over, the holy city is under our control, but the Latin Empire, a remnant of a bygone age, has fallen more and more from grace as a major Christian power, and with the oncoming threat of the Mongols, and the possibility of war with the Muslims, a united front is required to protect the Holy lands from invasion, and with Bulgaria being one of those front lines, their attention must be focused against the threat of Mongolia, and as such, the Latin Empire must be removed or reduced in their ability to threaten the southern shield of Bulgaria. I take no joy in facing fellow Christians in battle, but sometimes a ruler must act in a lesser evil in order to achieve a greater good."

Should the Bulgarians accept their aid, a Sicilian Army lead by a noble will be mobilized and deployed to aid the Bulgarian campaign against the Latins.

The Bulgarians have humbly accepted the aid of the Sicilians, and welcome their forces alongside of theirs.
